Hugh's family for generations were farmers and ranchers in Tennessee, where he grew up with an inborn love of the land. When he came to Texas, his first priority was to find land for himself. He has owned and operated several ranches in Brazos County and has received recognition and awards for his land management and conservation activities.
His company, Texas Land Co. of Bryan, was organized over 30 years ago, and remains one of the oldest privately owned real estate companies in the area. Although he certainly does sell residences and commercial buildings, his first love has always been for the land.

Born and raised in rural Brazos County, Danny was active in both 4-H and FFA while growing up in the Tabor community. He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Agri-business in 1968. Commisioned in the U.S. Army out of college, He spent two years on active duty and returned to graduate school at SHSU. He spent the next 28-1/2 years in various positions with the Texas Department of Agriculture. He lived most of that time in Austin. In 1999, he retired as Assistant Commissioner of Agriculture for the State of Texas.
In the early 1980's, Danny was a licensed Real Estate Broker, and after moving "home" to Bryan in 2001, activated his real estate sales license and joined a seasoned land broker (Hugh Thompson) at TEXAS LAND COMPANY OF BRYAN.
